MY BAND & DISCO DAYS IN MIAMI, FLORIDA
FROM 1969 to 1985
Above Sylvester signed this copy of his
album to me while I was playing at
the Menagerie in Coral Gables Florida.
They had a real Leopard at the entrance door of the Club. We met again at a
New York Billboard Awards, when
Carlos Nodal of Honey for the Bears was given a
DJ Award.

He died in a Motorcycle accident. RIP

the Name to Chocolate Milk Shake at
a Miami High School Television filming
for Chanel 2, 10 & a
Spanish Chanel I don't remember if it was Ch. 23 at
that time.

"The Chocolate Milkshake" Played at Miami Beach Hotels, Parks and
sock
hops in Schools.
No.3" Shelter" Played at Pace Catholic High School Prom, Home Coming
Queen and
many Private parties through
Miami Beach and Miami Public Parks & School dances.

Today in 2016 Just kicking it home on my days off with my
music files, my Bass and Guitar.
I jus play my Guitars at home along with recording from the songs we use to play.
I play all my funky oldies songs and also along with Carlos Santana,
Barry White,
many other of my
favorites and few salsa songs I used to play.

Did you know? That before becoming a
Hollywood Movie Star, actor Andy Garcia was
a light show operator at Alexander's Disco at the
Omni Hotel in
Miami Fl. back in the late 70s??
This is one of my old friend from the Disco Days
He formed the Band NITE-FLYTE, his name: Sandy Torano
 See his band on YouTube here  This is his Business card from 1979  I have this business card with his Phone number and address on the back of it from when we first met in the Disco Scene with his Hit song "If You Want It" Debut in Miami 1979. Which I have a Vinyl Original Pressing Copy! 
His Lead Singer Howard Jonson was and is a great singer with a fantastic voice too. Howard Johnson hails from Miami, Florida, U.S.A. Howard began his career singing in local bars and clubs. In one small Miami bar he was spotted by Sandy Torano who was looking to form a group. In 1977, they formed Niteflyte and signed to Ariola for two albums. He remained with the group until the early '80's when he signed with A & M Records as a solo artist. |
