| Whenever I attempt to play a file I
downloaded from limewire it asks me to download the program from
www.fastmp3player.com which plays the mp3 extension files. Is it used to
play mp3.exe?
DON'T. It's spyware/virus, delete it IMMEDIATELY, and do a spyware and virus scan. If you don't have a spyware scanner (Norton/Mcaffee won't do it), Google Spybot, and download the program. Remember to look for MP3s, NOT EXEs next time you're downloading from Limewire. Make sure it also has a bitrate as well. It's listed as an mp3, not an exe, under downloads. When you
get the "song," it's only a few silent seconds long, and then it pops up
an internet window taking you to the download site. DO NOT download the
file it prompts. The file you downloaded from Limewire is a piece of
reeking junk and it's not really the song anyways. If you download a
popular song from limewire again, try to make sure its size is the same as
others of the same name. Or preview it before it's done downloading. If it
doesn't play back... That's not
good. |
