PIZZA DOUGH RECIPE
Basic pizza dough recipe for anyone.
A great pizza starts with
Great Dough! & Of course "The
sauce!"
Making pizza crust is not that difficult.
Authentic Italian pizza does not include olive oil or sugar. I
always used both!
Please feel free to omit these items when you make dough.
Ingredients for the Pizza Dough
(Makes 2 Large Pizzas, or Four Thin Pizzas)
1-2 Packages yeast (
1/4 or 1/2 oz. or 2-4 teaspoons of yeast )
(I rather use Fresh Yeast but dry may be used
like Fleischmann's Yeast!)

2 teaspoons sugar 4 cups of flour or more 1 teaspoon salt 1/4 cup olive oil 1 and 1/2 cups of warm water |

Process
Place Water yeast and sugar in room temperature water, preferably in a stainless steel bowl.
Wait about 10 to 15 minute to let the yeast activate.
Add Flour, sugar and oil.
Mix well about 10 minute, [When using a mixer mix at low speed for about 5 minute.
Leave in Mixer bowl or in a dish and let rest till double in size.
Punch dough down slowly and divide into 2 balls let rest about 5 minutes.
Flour dough so that it does not stick.
Press into thickness you want and place in a pizza screen or stone make sure you have lightly dusted the bottom with flour or fine corn meal.
Add sauce, ingredient and Mozzarella cheese and bake in center of the oven at 500digrees for about 2 minutes or until cheese has melted and the crust edge is golden.
Remove from oven and let rest cut with Pizza cutter and Mangia!!
